Gamma knife radiosurgery (GKRS) is an established treatment for small (<3cm), or complex arteriovenous malformations (AVMs). However, large AVMs pose a significant therapeutic challenge due to their higher risk of post-radiosurgical complications, including hemorrhage, radiation necrosis, and perilesional edema.
